Deployment in Japan[]
Leroy was born in Cleveland were he lived for the most part of his early life. After enlisting in Navy to get money in 1945, Leroy is deployed in Japan, the town of Bushuggi. Over the past years he gets accustomed to his life in Japan. After visiting local teahouse he meets with Ai Katsumata and the two fell in love. The following week Leroy is redeployed, which angers him.
On April 22, 1948 Leroy's squad was mobilized and returned back to USA. Leroy instead travelled to to the tea house to meet Ai and on May 23 they met. Ai revealed that she was engaged, but during the night they met anyway and shared a kiss. Over the next few weeks Ai and Leroy meet many times. Eventually, Leroy decides to ask Ai to run away with him. She agrees and Leroy decides to sell his watch to get the money for their trip on SS President Cleveland. Around the same time, the denizens of Bushuggi become hostile towards him. One day as Leroy gets in an argument over the selling price of his watch, he's killed by local Yakuza gang.
Personality[]
Leroy had a tough personality and could easily get into conflict with others because of his temper. Although around Ai he was quite relax and calm.
